Alabama’s exports down again in 2019, but autos up

New figures from the Alabama Department of Commerce show Alabama continues to take a hit from global trade tensions, but its auto sector is still gaining strength.

Alabama’s exports totaled $20.7 billion in 2019, with overseas shipments of motor vehicles, auto parts and aerospace products showing a head of steam.
