A logistics company, code-named Project Cyclone, is seeking $500,000 in incentives to hire 475 in Jacksonville by the end of 2021.
The international logistics company, which already has a presence in Jacksonville, intends to hire 100 at an average salary of $60,000, plus 375 for lower-wage positions. It is also expected to invest $10.1 million into its facility.
The city would pay up to $100,000 of the Qualified Target Industry incentives, with the state picking up the remaining $400,000.
The company is one of several seeking QTI funds before the program sunsets this summer. Others include:
