Is the car insured during shipping?

Let me start off with on Motherload, your transporter is insured and we validate all our carriers to ensure a safe transit. That being said, we also offer a 3rd party insurance through Ramon Insurance to our shippers in the event they would rather avoid a lengthy process of carrier reimbursement for damages or loss.

When shipping a vehicle, all legally authorized car carriers operating within the United States are required by law to have some sort of cargo protection insurance. These documents must be provided at your request prior to loading.

All car shipping protection policies are different so be sure to ask exactly how much your vehicle is insured for and make sure to get it in writing prior to shipping your vehicle. If for any reason you feel a carrier/transporter is not honoring their coverage or insurance policy, contact us right away to help you get reimbursed.
